The Nursery

We carry plants that will thrive in SE Utah in all kinds of landscapes.

We grow native plants from seed we collect locally.

We carry shade trees, fruit trees, wildflowers and grasses, and a wide range of ornamental varieties.

For Pollinators

Our staff are familiar with plants that thrive in Moab and that benefit pollinators.  We use no neonicitinoids and grow our plants without using pesticides, except in rare cases.  Please ask us if you are concerned.

Vegetable starts become available in April.  We carry veggie seeds year round, as well as all you need to start your own plants.  We also grow berries, fruit trees, grapes and other edible crops, and carry cover crop seeds.

Planting Instructions

Growing plants in SE Utah is not easy.  Our soils are somewhat alkaline; average rainfall is 6 – 10 inches annually; summers are hot; and winters can be quite cold.  Over the past 20 years and hundreds of plant installations we have found some methods that help ensure plants start off in the best possible conditions.

Irrigation

After you have decided to irrigate your property, the next step is to learn how to effectively distribute water across the landscape. We have steps that can walk you through the various aspects of an effective irrigation system, with links and resources.
